Multiplayer does not work for me with the steam version and Game Ranger.
It works for me using Hamachi or Evolve. GameRanger only works with my old CD Version of the Game...
Sadly even with Hamachi and Evolve, both the new GOG Version and the Steam Version only work with some people... Even when router ports and firewalls are configured correctly.
Something is odd about this... Does anybody understand why and how to fix this issue?

hello to anyone who is still alive out there !

My recent issues have been resolved. I had to run the installs as an administrator (right-click and choose the option) and then all seemed to work apart from a ferw issues with NGlide which Zeus software were able to clear.
I did have similar issues in the distant past and it must have been the big upgrade to Windows that brought them back. Not 100% sure but .... ?

I recently followed the you tube instructions below for installing this game on my PC but after doing so the game just shows the start screen then drops out to my desktop.
I have the new version of Windows 10 (1803) which was installed a couple of weeks ago.
Anyone know if there is a problem with the new version or knows the issue I am having ?

I have it up and running without any problems on Windows 10 using this method, I re-uploaded the files myself, enjoy. Here's hoping it gets released on GOG, a remaster or sequel is made

@rock.golem Metal Fatigue was released in 2000 by now defunct companies; your only going to find orginal CDs copies for sale online. Your other option is to illegally acquire (pirate) it and then use the instructions in the discussions here to make it run on newer systems.

Is there a way to extract Metal Fatigue data files (.tbd archives)? I know Watto Studios Game Extractor can read parts of it, but I do not own it.

The reason why Metal Fatigue will probably never get a Remastered Version (other than the small fanbase) is because NOBODY knows who owns the copyright.

My research had lead me to believe that Sony owns the rights because they bought out one of the publishing companies for the game.

I didn't know where to post it so here I go.
I made myself a safe copy of MF just in case it won't work.
I am able to build every single object as I made it unlock for every single mission.. ( Took me 20mins)
All you have to do is copy a file named techtree.tbd in "TBD" to TBD folders "X_01 - X_10; Y_01 - Y_10; Z_01 - Z_10" after you copyed techtree.tbd, make a copy and rename it to PrebuildTechTree.tbd and repeat copying in to the TBD folders X_01 etc.

To all Metal Fatigue fans, install nGlide BEFORE you install Metal Fatigue so you can select the Glide device as your graphics device at the end of installation. Just installing nGlide won't make the game run as it will still be in DirectX 7 mode, which crashes.

I have the original CDs, but on win 7, 8 and 10 it wont work... Sigh!
