@Taka I'm very sorry to hear that the discussions method isn't working for open teams, unfortunately I can't force Open team leaders to subscribe to the Open forum to receive notifications of matches posted there.

Discussions can get spammed, however if they do, they can get forum banned, and the notification doesn't fill up the screen with racist messages or whatever they put there.

Also: Why are the discussions safe from spam if the announcements aren't?

So basically there's 4 options:
1. Hope the spammer stops (not looking good)
2. Do discussions only again (in my experience, at least down here in Steel, people don't have the habit of checking those and getting right-now-scrims is basically impossible)
3. Make the group invite only and kick him (people can still get in if they just ask, everybody can still read announcements, even if only members can make them, so now the spammer needs an accomplice every time he gets kicked)
4. Let it die and make finding scrims a whole lot harder especially if someone starts now and doesn't have 50 leaders on his friendslist yet

Also, you can't ban people from public groups, which is why this is an issue to begin with.

Unfortunately i can't do anything to stop the spam, I introduced a new system to stop the spam and hildreth reverted it last night, only a group administrator fix this.
