Welcome To For Developers

Benefits of being a member can be:

1. Testing - Indepth testing of gameplay and OS/build testing.

2. Reviews - Reviews posted on your Steam store page.

3. Devs - Connect with other Steam developers in the discussions section.

4. Group Curator - Group member created content recommended on the groups curator page.

5. Video Uploads* - Video of your game uploaded to Youtube and other social media.

*Previews, Dev Diaries, Video Updates, Trailers, Flash Animations, Machinimas, Speedruns, Walkthroughs, Bugs/Glitches and Gameplay.

Feel free to message the group Administrator to discuss your game and any of the above points. Alpha, Beta, Greeenlight, Early Access or released. Any stage of development.

If you would like me to accept membership requests there are a few ways to make it quick and easy. Official Steamworks Development group members, have your profile's comments section open so I can respond, a friend request for direct contact and no private profiles accepted.

Does anybody have any info? Since all members had to have it, I'd like to find out where it went and why.

I've noticed that the group member count has been dropping. So I wanted to thank everybody for their membership regardless of time spent. If any of those that leave are in my friends list I might ask your reasons for leaving. For quality control. So that I can improve the group for the members that stay. I appreciate those that take the time to respond to the question. One such response and reason for leaving was based off this comment left on their Greenlight game's comments

What made you choose "For Developers" as your vote-boosting service over the others?".
To be clear, I hadn't even had any contact with this game's dev. I only sent him the group invite to For Developers like I do for all those with the Steamworks Development badge. So I'm unclear as to what this "vote-boosting" is even referring to or how For Developers would be known as such a group. Maybe they're just Greenlight trolling.
I'm still a little curious why so many others have left the group recently.

I'm releasing my SHMUP, Horizon Shift '81, on Steam and PS4 on Tuesday.

It was released on the Switch 6 back in January and has been doing pretty well.
