Hey y'all.

So my Steam account was compromised, and as a result this group was taken over and used to try to scam people. The other mods and I were kicked from the group entirely, so we didn't have great visibility on this (shout out to Drake, zweirus, and Sammyroxx for bringing this to attention in our Discord).

First off, sorry. If I (or anybody else) sent you a sketchy link that you clicked, please take further steps into securing your Steam account. You can do this by resetting your password, enabling 2FA if you haven't already, and making sure your account info (like your phone number and email address) is up to date.
Other methods may also be available, if there are any you'd like to share please discuss them below.
I would link resources here, but in fear of attaching more links to an announcement, I'd recommend Googling how to do these yourself.

Secondly, I'll be restoring the admin/moderator privileges of those that had them in the coming days. If you don't have these privileges but had them before, please reach out to me. Similarly, if other users have been unrightfully kicked or banned from this group please let me know so I can add them back to the group.

Thirdly, what I was most upset about the taking over was losing our group history. I'll spend some time in the coming days trying to archive as much of the group info as possible, comments, announcements, discussions, etc. This will probably take place in a set of .html files, which I'll post in a Google Drive so it can be shared.

While I will be archiving the group, it will still exist, and everybody will still be able to interact / chat / etc. I'm just worried about losing so much data.

While this group is not very lively, it still has groups of people that met in the community and hang out, a past announcement has our "official" Discord invite, if anybody wishes to catch up / hang out.
