This new update has killed the demoman.

The game balancing team for TF2 has apparently been replaced by a bunch of muppets. In their opinion, to tone a weapon down is to effectively remove 50% of its damage. Stickybomb launcher and Axtinguisher fell prey to that in the 18.06.2014 update.

Stickies:
Now deal up to 60 (50% less than before, and this is on direct hit! With stickies!) damage in direct combat. I'm not sure if valve realises, but in high level play, demoman's duty is to deal high amounts of damage as artillery. After the update, demoman can choose between dealing ridiculously low damage or missing alltogether if he wants the damage to charge, because the target will have a lot of time to dodge. Demoman is now useless in his previous competitive role.

Axtinguisher:
Now deals 88 (55% less than before!!) damage on burning targets. The perk of full 195 damage on backstab is useless unless you are fighting complete idiots. Nobody with a brain will get backstabbed if they know you are there. They will know you are there, because you have to light them on fire. As for the 90 damage, almost every other damage tool pyro has can do that, FROM A DISTANCE. Shotgun, flaregun and flamethrower primary fire don't require the pyro to take the risk of closing in to melee range.

Please help us teach valve that "Radically changing" doesn't equal to "balancing" and support this group.
