You guys need to give these kids a listen, Dawn of Dementia. They're all roughly 20 or so, but sound they've been playing tech death for about that long. The bass sticks out so well and is played about as smoothly as possible.

@Syranic, Dude, Meshuggah is poop and not technical, nor death metal. Boring music with Pantera vocals is nothing to brag about in a technical death metal group.

Abnormality's Contaminating The Hive Mind. 100% Brutal Technical Death Metal. Amazing album.

Seems like folks on here know their stuff. Do yourself a big favor and make sure to check out Gorod. Also, Decrepit Birth are great if you need Death on steroids. There's a killer new band out of Santa Cruz, CA called Continuum if you're into a more brutal sound.
