Don't you think it's time for the 3rd Marines to come back? 2.0/Screaming Steel is here and I bet you could keep the community alive and get old vets into it

No upcoming plans, however, Screaming Steel looks to be almost complete. Still no release date, but private play testing is getting great support and feedback.

It'd be nice to play a realism again with everyone

None ATM. We have a box hosted by Execorehosting(dot)com, a long time partner of ours. Currently we are letting them save some $$ by allowing them to host on it since we are in between games ATM. Not that we ever get involved in many games at once, but we lie the power it can give just a couple of servers in one or two games haha.

What games do we have servers for?

No discord. When we ramp back up with either Screaming Steel or rare chance Days of War (2.0) suceeds then yes, I have been eyeballing Discord.

Something occured int he WW1 Source side that I am not allowed to talk about lol. Nothing bad, just promised to keep my big mouth shut. Sorry for never bringing back the server in WW1 Source. My server host dragged their feet on it pretty hard and by then our activity in Days of War plummeted due to player base so we have just been keeping ourselves entertained playing all these new games coming out.

Any news about ww1 source monthly event?

It's died out for now. Lack of content is keeping most of us still heavily enjoying in this game from being able to play day in and day out. I have not had time due to working a different shft at work and picking up weekend work at my part time job so the 3rd MAR's activity suffered too. But I am coming back to regular hours in a few weeks.

WW1 Source is 100% dead. But if you have it installed, don't uninstall just yet. We are bringing our server back in it. I'll look into getting it up when I get home today (keep forgetting to). We will be hosting events in it once a month or every two months. Nothing much, but at least it's something.

Hey i just found out about world war one source does any one still play it i log on but shows no servers... i played alot of project reality but always wanted to play in a world war one setting

Today's realism was fantastic! Definitly some issues with making it a little easier on attackers. Footstep sounds where no help and too many choke points. Already have plans to fix that for the next test we do. Once we are happy with the rules we decide to go with, we will open them up to the public to participate.

We are on right now. Bunch of us where playing together.

I'd certainly wait until release. No use getting it now. One thing is for certain at least, if you do buy now, I hear DOI is actually a pretty good game and although it is currently small, it has a loyal fanbase. Sound familiar? May fit right in at home over there!

We have made a announcement on the Battalion 1944 clans section as a possible location to expand to by the time it releases. We did not know that BAT44 would be released so very long after DOW will be so by that time frame we should be in a perfect position to look at expanding into a new game and I am sure would be a very likely choice at that period in time.

Feel free to help us out by giving our post a like and/or give a little reply on your experiences with the 3rd Marines whether it be as a current or former Marine, played with us in a game before or just know us from this Steam group.
