I am exploring in my current run and everything I explore fades back to black (unexplored) So I have no idea where I have already been. How do I fix this bug?

Why am I being followed around by an invisible floating robot thing, it says "blocked" when I shoot it, I think I managed to deal damage to it with one of my TNT explosives before it killed me... This is in the very first area by the way (The Mines).

The discussion posts and modding seem lively enough, but most of the youtubers/streamers have moved on and I haven't seen anything from the devs in forever. So what is it? Is this game finished and I should find something else to do, or do I have to just stay patient? Edit, thank you all for the replies. Though I do think some of the harsh words were unjustified, I completely see where they were coming from....

In all my years of playing Roguelikes, I never had one I couldn't win a run in at least the 5th try, so far, I'm in the 31th hour and can't manage to get past the penultimate region.Even in a GOD run you can die to stupid things, like "death my healing arrow" (yes I read about why it happens. How do you guys cope? What are some qol mods is there a "randomizer" for worlds? The first world is the most boring!!!...
