The wait is over Sker Islanders, Sker Ritual's Episode Three: Sewers of the Dead is OUT NOW! Descend into the Sewers of the Dead, the Sker Island underground lair and home of The Stranger!


Delve into the Sewers of the Dead, the Sker Island underground lair and home of The Stranger. Navigate through tunnels of infestation where the Quiet Ones are not your only enemy. Watch where you step as The Stranger's swarm of rats are under the control of his glaring eyes.


GUTO (Elite Enemy #1)

Run, run as fast as you can because in a flash the Guto will be upon you. These agile elites dash at alarming speed and in unpredictable directions, making every twist and turn through the dank underground a possible threat.

DEMON HAG (Elite Enemy #2)

Now she’s here...now she’s not...beware the teleporting Demon Hag and her searing laser beams that shoot out from her gruesome, green eyes. Rising from the dirt and murk, this elite is a deadly combination of the Witch and the Mariner.


Unlock areas of the map with the help of a mind-controlled Quiet One. Escort the lumbering enemy turned ally safely and be sure to keep feeding it points if you want it to walk faster. Plus, send Quiet Ones into a spin! Set in the gory, gorged-out chests of Quiet Ones, shoot the rat in the hamster wheel to get them going.


THE PLAGUE - Special Weapon

The Plague, Sker Ritual’s answer to Pest Control. Discharge bombs with this multi-grenade launcher that releases plumes of purple gas. Damage enemies and objects alike to progress your objectives.

CROSSBOW

Load up! This crossbow shoots a fan of 3 arrows and will slaughter through 3 enemies in turn. The crossbow will also be available in all levels.

PIONEER’S AXE

This infamously powerful melee weapon possesses a radius slash damage to hack through multiple targets. The Pioneer’s Axe will also be available in all levels.


Find yourself transported into the warped mind of The Stranger. Avoid the sight of his relentless scanning eyes, but don’t get caught or be prepared to face swarms of rodents whilst still combatting waves of Quiet Ones.

This brand new game is a round-based co-op survival FPS and spiritual successor to, Maid of Sker. Play solo or up to 4 players to survive the supernatural onslaught of the Quiet Ones.

Face hordes of new and familiar enemies, supercharged elites with unique supernatural powers, upgradeable steam-punk weapons, interchangeable spine-chilling masks and mysterious story objectives from writing talent behind Maid of Sker, Battlefield 1 and Total War: Rome II.

Designed for playing solo, or up-to 4-players online. Short of a teammate? No worries, the intensity of Sker Island’s hordes scale to the number of players. You could always find-a-friend over on the official Sker Ritual Discord[discord.gg].

The Quiet Ones have returned and they are not alone. Sker Island has recruited new elites, each with a unique set of abilities that will force you to change-up your playstyle, change your location, or enlist the help of your teammates! Old enemies aren't the only ones to curse the lands of Sker, we have many more new faces — even some without faces — that want to destroy you.

Plus, check out our roadmap for the beta development which we intend to complete by April 2023.

An Episode will be a new map update with the added bonus of some Sker story (with some voice acting) that follows on from the events of Maid of Sker. There's been some confusion in the community about whether the game will feature a separate Story Mode and to answer that, it will not. Sker Ritual is a round-based co-op FPS and is not a replacement for a [hypothetical] Maid of Sker 2.

Each Episode will add tons of new content including new maps, Elites, Bosses, objectives, trials, easter eggs and weapons. Plus you'll get major gameplay updates on the Miracles system, an in-game communication system and so much more.

We can finally reveal the timed exclusive demo for Sker Ritual in the Steam Next Fest event which runs in tandem with Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest from June 13th-20th! The demo will enable 1-4 players to team up online and face Sker Island’s Quiet Ones and their more powerful cohabitants, The Elites, in a first-person round-based survival shooter.

After customising their character’s horror-themed masks, players can jump into Solo, Private or Quick Play online matchmaking for one map, The Cursed Lands of Lavernock. The demo will include a sample of our Story Objectives and gain full access to The Laughing Policeman’s shop and the steampunk-inspired Magnificent Munitions Upgrade Station.

The demo represents the end of Alpha development and will switch to Beta before launching on Steam Early Access later this Summer. The alpha demo will be limited to 30 minutes per game, with an unlimited amount of replays. We’re excited to listen to the community’s feedback and encourage all players to join the Sker Ritual Discord[discord.gg] server to be a part of the journey and connect with others in the community.
