We’ve just shared our new trailer for Neon Abyss 2, and we’re thrilled to announce our Early Access release date for July 17th.

The doors to the upgraded Abyss 2.0 will be opening in July, allowing you to take part in Abyss combat using upgraded weaponry, new and evolving Hatchimons, our new Faith system and up-to four-player online co-op as well!

You can join up with friends or jump in with other Cybermyth Combatants worldwide to journey through the new halls of the Abyss 2.0. In addition, release into Early Access means that you’ll have the opportunity to help our development team as we progress towards full launch of the new Abyss, as well.

The upgraded Abyss 2.0 looks to evolve everything you loved about the original game. We’ve worked to keep the core of what made Neon Abyss special, while adding in new features and capabilities which are only possible through re-building and re-shaping of the Abyss.

But July’s Early Access release isn’t the only way you can get in touch with Neon Abyss 2. We are currently rolling out a two-player co-operative multiplayer playtest. In this new playtest, we’ll be asking Cybermyth Combatants to dive in with a friend (or find a partner in our official Discord[discord.gg]) to experience what the upgraded Abyss has to offer.

It’s time to jump into the upgraded Abyss 2.0. We’re welcoming Cybermyth Combatants into our Neon Abyss 2 single-player Playtest which is live now! It’s been some time since we last emerged from the depths of void below. Since then, the team have continued to build on what you loved from the first game.

In the new single-player playtest, Cybermyth Combatants will be able to experience a good deal of what the upgraded Abyss has to offer. For this playtest that means an all-new weapons system, an upgraded abyss with HD visuals and unique themes for each new level, the Godly new Faith system and enhanced Hatchimon companions.

The new weapons system will allow Cybermyth Combatants to wield much more than just incredible beam and bullet firearms. Weapons will now include swords, magic, axes, fists and much more. As well as this, each weapon will also bring unique attacks and mechanics, as well as potential synergies with hundreds of items.

The new Faith system evolves the Wisdom and Violence system from Abyss 1.0. Belief will allow Cybermyth Combatants to select an alignment within each level of the Abyss, meaning players can modify the way you play to unlock new temples and vital upgrades.

Hatchmon companions within the new Abyss 2.0 will help players just as they did before. Now, however, you’ll be able to combine Hatchimons to synthesize a bunch of new super-pets, each with their own unique special effects.

I'm Lans, the producer of Neon Abyss. The game has been officially launched for 3 years now, I'd like to take this opportunity to chat with you about what the team has been up to recently and plans for the future. To give you a clearer picture of our current situation, I've summarized a few key questions that many of you are concerned about:


We’re currently making a sequel to Neon Abyss.


Firstly, the sequel will feature multiplayer. After a year of development, the multiplayer part of the sequel is now fully functional.

Moreover, the sequel to Neon Abyss will feature a completely new storyline, along with a wide range of thrilling new content. This will include challenging new bosses, each with their own distinct characteristics and interesting mechanics, a diverse cast of new characters with unique abilities, and a vast array of new weapons and items that will offer players even more opportunities to customize their gameplay experience and experiment with different play styles.

Additionally, we are working diligently to address some of the criticisms we received, such as excessive item repetition, lack of differentiation between weapons, and insufficient gameplay and content. The sequel will also introduce entirely new mechanisms and systems.

You may have heard about a mobile version of Neon Abyss. It is a freemium game called Neon Abyss: Infinity, that was developed independently by another company, using our IP under license. We were not involved in its development. Although it looks similar to the PC and console versions, the gameplay and mechanics are different due to the freemium model. As of now, we have no plans to develop a mobile game on our own. But if you are interested in a mobile version of Neon Abyss, feel free to check it out.

Long time no see! We're excited to introduce a new character, Buro, from Muse Dash. She's a skilled fighter who uses musical beats to attack.

Buro can switch between two modes: Beats Mode and Weapon Mode. In Beats Mode, press the attack button to start performing. Each successful combo creates a sound wave that can eliminate enemy bullets and deal melee damage. The more combos you make, the stronger the sound wave becomes.

This character is now available to all players as a free gift. Please update the game and claim this cute performer!
