I don't get it, I just don't get it at all. This has a positive review rating, it's talked about as a game worth playing, but... but.. actually playing it is awful.

Combat bad, onboarding bad, controls bad, graphics bad.

I get that reviews are very personal things, but for the life of me I don't understand why anyone would be willing to play this mess, let alone give it a positive review. If there is a good game hidden beneath the surface, they've done and amazing job at hiding it. Maybe Ruingate (their new game) has learnt how not to be rubbish, this one certainly didn't.

Pretty solid little grindy game. I enjoyed exploring the map, and building up the settlement. I will admit that once I had a really strong character and had maxed all the buildings out, I did end up skipping about 1/4 of the map's locations as there wasn't really anything I could do with the items. But I guess that just means there's different ways to reach the end which is neat. Only issue I noticed was that enemy archers seem overpowered. While I could tank just about every melee enemy and magic was nullified, arrows would rapidly drain my health at a crazy pace. But overall a fun game if you enjoy resource grinds and some side-scrolling action combat.
