Today we can announce the release date for the eighth episode of Minecraft: Story Mode, plus two special guest stars!

The third and final episode in the 'Adventure Pass' add-on series, Episode 8: 'A Journey's End?' will be available digitally worldwide starting Tuesday September 13th on PC/Mac, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. It'll be available the same week for compatible iOS devices via the App Store, and for compatible Android devices via Google Play and the Amazon Appstore; and will also be coming to the Windows Store.

So what are our heroes up against in this concluding chapter of the season? With Harper leading them to the world of the Old Builders, Jesse and crew finally have their chance to return home... but it won't be easy, and the stakes are high. You'll need to take on opponents in a series of gladiatorial games to win your freedom, save your friends, and maybe, just maybe, make it back to your own world!

The all-star cast gets two more new additions for Episode 8: 'A Journey's End?', with Jim Cummings (Winnie the Pooh, Darkwing Duck) as Hadrian, the leader of the Old Builders; and Kari Wahlgren (Rick and Morty, The Fairly OddParents) as Mevia, the Enforcer.

What awaits our heroes in this next adventure? Continuing their portal journey in search of home, Jesse and crew land in a world entirely controlled by PAMA - a sinister "thinking machine" determined to command everyone and everything in pursuit of optimal usefulness and efficiency. Forced on the run to avoid capture and assimilation, you'll need to work with a new ally to defeat the corrupted computer and free the population it has enslaved.

Today we can also reveal that the all-star cast gets another new addition for this episode, with Yvette Nicole Brown (Community) as Harper, PAMA's creator in hiding.

As Jesse and the gang travel through another portal in an attempt to return to their world, they are whisked away to a land filled with dangers (of the zombie variety). Taking shelter in an ominous and spooky mansion, they meet a cadre of famous adventurers from the Minecraft community who have also sought refuge from the dangers outside. Things take a turn for the worse, as an enigmatic masked figure soon appears, with sinister intentions. It’s a race against the clock to stop their ruthless tormentor and get to the bottom of a treacherous mystery before it’s too late.

We’re thrilled to share this chilling adventure with you that features Minecraft legends Captain Sparklez, Stampy Cat, LDShadowLady, StacyPlays, and DanTDM! It was an absolute joy to work with such amazing members of the community to make this a really special episode.

‘A Portal to Mystery’ is the beginning of an add-on series of three post-season adventures, which can be purchased digitally as part of the new Adventure Pass for $14.99 and includes access to Episodes 6, 7 and 8 as they release. Great news for Minecraft: Story Mode players today! Episode 6 - 'A Portal to Mystery', the first of three add-on episodes to the original series, launches on June 7th!

Several special guest stars from the Minecraft community join the cast in this new episode, all playing characters from their own YouTube videos. In Episode 6: 'A Portal to Mystery', continuing their journey through the portal hallway, Jesse and crew land themselves in another strange new world - one completely overrun by zombies. With a timely invitation to take refuge in a spooky mansion, they find themselves thrown into a thrilling mystery alongside famous members of the Minecraft community.

This episode was LOADS of fun to work on, and is hopefully just as fun to play! We can't wait to share it with you.

Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 5 - 'Order Up!', the first in the series since the epic Wither Storm finale, is available to download starting today!

Check out the trailer above for a look at what you can expect! We've said previously that this episode bridges the gap between the Wither Storm story arc, and three all-new adventures set to release in the coming months of 2016. After playing Episode 5, you'll definitely have a better idea of what those new adventures in Episodes 6, 7, and 8 might entail.

Today we can also announce that Minecraft players soon be able to assemble their own legendary team of adventurers in their own worlds, with a new Minecraft: Story Mode skin pack coming to Minecraft: Pocket Edition, consoles, and Windows 10. Look out for more info on that in the coming weeks!

The adventures of Jesse and the NEW Order of the Stone are set to continue this month! In the first episode since the Wither Storm finale, Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 5 - 'Order Up' will be available starting March 29th!

And that's not the only exciting news for Minecraft: Story Mode players today... we can also reveal that Order Up! won't be the last you see of Jesse, as Episode Five will bridge the gap between the Wither Storm story arc, and three all-new adventures that will continue as post-season episodes set to release in the coming months of 2016!

These continuing Adventures of the New Order of the Stone will follow the additional escapades of Jesse and the group as they explore new and unfamiliar worlds beyond their own. All three of these episodes will be add-ons to the season, so you'll need to own Minecraft: Story Mode in order to purchase and play these three chapters in the series which will include episodes 6, 7, and 8.

We're keeping further info on those three extra episodes a secret for now, but what can we tell you about the imminent Episode Five?

On a tip from Ivor, Jesse and friends head to an abandoned temple holding mysterious treasures. Ambushed by former Ocelot Aiden and his crew, our heroes find themselves in an entirely new world: Sky City! As they explore, the Order finds that resources are at a premium, and nothing but 'The Void' exists below the known world. When Aiden convinces Sky City's ruler that the New Order of the Stone are up to no good, you'll need to make some tough choices to clear your name, and keep Aiden from destroying an innocent world.

The cast of Minecraft: Story Mode also continues to expand as Jesse, played by Patton Oswalt (Ratatouille) or Catherine Taber (Star Wars Rebels), join Ivor, played by Paul Reubens (Pee-wee’s Big Holiday) and the gang on a trip to the skies. They'll meet a growing cast that includes Sean Astin (The Goonies, The Lord of the Rings) as Reginald, the loyal Captain of the Guard, Jim Meskimen (Parks and Recreation) as the rebellious Milo, and Melissa Hutchison (The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series) as the Founder of Sky City.

Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 4 arrives on Tuesday, December 22nd! You won't have to wait quite that long to get your first peek at the episode though - today, we have some all-new screens to share, along with a little more info about what you'll be playing before the end of the year.

In Episode Four, with the fearsome Wither Storm more dangerous than ever, Jesse, Reuben, and the crew discover there is one thing that can destroy the command block at the heart of the monster - but they'll need to brave the perils of the Farlands to find it. As uneasy allies and ailing friends threaten to tear the group apart, can they defeat the Wither Storm in their final battle? And what sacrifices must be made to succeed? Find out in Episode Four's epic 'Wither Storm Finale' that will turn the page on one chapter, before adventures may begin anew...

If Episode Four will end the story of the Wither Storm, what does that mean for Episode Five? We wouldn't dare spoil that for you here, but you can expect to have a better idea of what's to come for the Order of the Stone after playing Episode Four and when the mysterious fifth episode launches in early 2016.
