I’ve just launched the Steam store page for Coco Block, and the demo is available to play right now!

This was a small side project I made about 10 years ago.

Coco Block is a very simple, arcade-style game where coconuts fall from above and you need to block them before they hit your monkeys — while letting the monkeys eat the bananas for points, combos, and higher scores.

The game will be completely free, and the demo gives you the full experience (including some quick and easy achievements, if that’s your thing, which will carry over to the full release). I mainly wanted to get the page and demo out there so people can try it.

I hope you enjoy this simple little project, and I hope to bring more of my unreleased games to Steam. 🐵

Over the years, many people have reached out to me about certain achievements not unlocking properly in Tap Heroes on Steam. I’ve usually tried to help by unlocking them manually for the player when this happens, but since the cases have been quite numerous, I’ve postponed the inevitable: actually fixing the root cause.

I believe the issue in Tap Heroes was that the achievement unlock check only ran once when the conditions were fulfilled. If that check failed at that exact moment (due to a server issue or something else), the game would never check again—even if the achievement was fulfilled.

I’ve now added a check for every achievement each time you start the game. So any achievements you’ve already unlocked in-game should now correctly unlock on Steam as well.

To double-check that you’re on the latest version, look at the bottom-right of the Options screen. The version number should say 5.1. ːPfrogː
