vr equipment?

Does this 'require' any vr equipment? -the store page just says M/KB or a pad, but doesn't mention if any vr equipment is required to play the game. I know it's useable with it, but I don't know if those that have chosen not to buy it at this point can still play the game....

Head movement = bad controls.

If we can eventually control the ship with mouse & KB even when using VR, I'll consider this game. Makes me think of Airace Speed on the 3DS. I thought we had been through this head movement control thing in 2014. It's terrible and yields negative reviews on VR titles....
