Game runs suprisingly well on a PC thats pretty much minimum specs, W Kojima

I love this game. Really, really love this game.

Optimization? AMAZING.
Graphics? Best graphics I've ever seen in a video-game.
Story? Peak cinema (adventure, drama, action, every single genre).
Soundtrack? Every single music is marvelous.
Audio? Audio design is top notch
Combat? Compared to the first one, it it balanced and rewarding.

Extra: I'm running it on Linux. It runs PERFECTLY at max settings with minor tweaks needed.

Can't recommend enough, it is something you must experience for yourself.

Feels like the first game, but improved in almost every way. Gameplay is much smoother, with better graphics and more variety in terrain, items, and enemies. Performance is solid, and the DualSense features add a nice extra layer of immersion. If you liked the original, this is a big step up.

Yay. It's immediately apparent it's better than the original and building better on its strengths. The world feels more dense and less empty, the paths better thought out and more purposeful and the team knows much better how to create interesting complications for the player. It also gets to the point faster since the basics are established. I didnt mind the originals pacing and verboseness one bit, I'm used to narrative heavy rpgs which throw reams and reams of text and lore at you, but I think many who saw the original test their patience will appreciate the change of pace.

There's also now an in-game wiki which mirror FF16s which is great given the complexity the lore can sometimes reach, and lets players decide if they care to learn more.

The original DS felt like a game that was more interesting to read the wiki for than to actually play and this time, that didnt seem to be the case at all. I came out feeling like I only scratched the surface because I ran out of playing time and want more.

The PC port is decent but not the marvel some touted it as and could stand to run better. For some reason the massive dust clouds dip the framerate which is odd since they are occluding everything and thus there should be less stress on the GPU. The game is also quite CPU heavy as always with Nixxes ports which end up slowling piling up cpu optimizations over months

But fr, I’m only 15 hours in and this is already a masterpiece. A true successor to the first game in every way.

If you’re looking for a reason to play, this is it. I can’t recommend it enough.

story was oddly paced sometimes, but other than that its an improvement to the original in every way. at the end of the day i think kojima just wants you to have fun and to not take things too seriously all of the time.

I’ve seen a lot of people saying that if you didn’t like Death Stranding 1, you won’t like Death Stranding 2 — and honestly, that’s just not true. I couldn’t play the first game for more than 3 hours, but this one completely hooked me and I just can’t stop playing .

The character design is fantastic, the world is absolutely beautiful, and while Kojima’s storytelling is still as weird as ever, it works really well here and delivers a genuinely good story. The graphics are amazing, and the game is also very well optimized, which makes the experience even better.

Overall, I highly recommend it — 10/10.

An excellent sequel, with once again an insane OST and an excellent story. There are also many gameplay improvements, especially the combat, which is much more present in this game and far more enjoyable. I highly recommend it to any players who liked the first one !
