• 🎒Portable Vehicle Slots: You can now bind vehicles to hotkeys to summon or retract them instantly, making the transition between walking and driving seamless. We’ve also kept the "World Object" mode, so you can still park your ride like a building to DIY your own garage or pier.
  
• 🛤️Railroad Upgrades: Even without a train in your inventory, you can now summon an Old Railcar directly while standing on tracks. Those abandoned railways just got a lot more valuable.
  
• ⛵️Set Sail: The first Sailboat can now be found at the edge of the forest, granting early access to water travel without the need for endless bridge-building. Fun fact: the sails are made of towels because, as any interstellar hitchhiker knows, a towel is about the most massively useful thing you can have.
  
• 🚗 A New Way to Drive: Mid-way through the Demo, you’ll encounter a small, "bushy-browed" car. Unlike walking, driving requires managing throttle, reverse, and steering radius.

  🏹️The Elegant Archer: Layered Challenges
  After regenerating your world in v0.4.6, keep an eye out near the forest edge for your first firearm, a nimble pistol, along with basic ammo recipes.
  
  • Crosshair Implementation: Whether you’re using bows, guns, boomerangs, or throwing stars, a new crosshair assistant is now live. We’ve also optimized controller mapping for a smoother combat flow.
    
  • Expanded Arsenal: Beyond the pistol, we’ve tuned bows, boomerangs, and shields. Fight your way—on your own terms.
    
  • Status Effects: Fire, Stun, Ricochet, Bleed, and Webbing... these effects can now be attached to your ammo or used against you in monster traps. Things are about to get... "unpredictable" (hopefully in a good way!).
    
  • Gear Loadouts & Set Bonuses: You can now save multiple equipment presets for quick swapping. Additionally, armor now features Set Bonuses, making the hunt for matching gear much more rewarding.

  The Psionic System is officially online as a standalone attribute.

On the very last day of 2025, we want to share this update with you as a small New Year’s gift. Thank you for all your warm support, thoughtful feedback, and encouragement along the way! 💛

We’ve added two boomerangs to the Forest biome, and you can find them while exploring. Their single-hit damage might not look impressive at first, but if you’d rather keep some distance from enemies, boomerangs can be a very handy alternative. Also worth highlighting: try attacking while moving—because the return flight pierces and damages all obstacles. It can lead to surprisingly strong results.

We’ve significantly increased the drop rate of Arrows in the wild, and moved the Bow into Handcraft. We hope this makes it easier to choose a ranged option early on—so you don’t always have to commit to close-range fights.

We’ve rebalanced loot distribution during exploration:

• Smashables (breakables like slime piles), pots, and other roadside objects now feel more like supply stops on your journey

• Chests now provide higher-quality rewards, and each chest guarantees at least one distinct “core reward”

With this change, we hope you’ll run into fewer “out of supplies” moments that interrupt your flow—and that even in the mid/late game, clearing out the edges of the map will still come with that satisfying “what’s in this chest?” feeling. We’ll keep iterating on loot balance based on your feedback.

Steam Cloud Saves have now been integrated for the first time. When you read this post, it may still be rolling out gradually—but the feature is ready, and we plan to fully enable it in the coming days.

If you encounter any issues while using it, please let us know—we’ll follow up as quickly as we can!

When using weapons/tools on your hotbar: You can pre-select the next item with number keys or controller shoulder buttons, and once your current attack animation ends, it will switch instantly to your buffered choice. This makes it easier to chain attacks, weave in items, and quickly eat/heal during combat (for example: “fish slap → copper sword → fish slap → copper sword”).

• Bug net: failing to catch a bug no longer consumes durability【Arès】

• When an item’s durability runs out: a prompt appears and the game tries to auto-switch to the same item in your inventory; if none exists, it switches to empty hands【Zero Tachikoma】

• Broken items: their inventory icons are now tinted, making the reason they can’t be used more obvious

• Fixed: you could not quickly switch hotbar items after closing the inventory【Zero Tachikoma】

• When empty-handed or holding an inventory item, the mouse wheel still cycles the hotbar hand slot (loops from the first/last slot based on scroll direction)【Zero Tachikoma】

• While the inventory is open, the mouse wheel can cycle the hotbar hand slot【Zero Tachikoma】

• Workbench recipe sorting improved: craftable recipes are shown first; recipes that require an upgrade are clearly marked

• When placing chests and workbenches: supply/ingredient range is now visualized

• Workbench upgrades are now handled via a “recipe-style” UI and no longer use temporary item storage—upgrades can pull materials directly from nearby chests, and you won’t lose stored items if the workbench is removed

• Chest deposit/withdraw now supports Same and All behaviors

• Default stack limit increased to 999

• Handcraft supports long-press to craft multiple items【Super】

• Marvin’s RV item query station: items are automatically returned when closing the UI

• Biome transition rule refined: environment changes only trigger continuous tiles

• Added arrow recovery: fired arrows can now be picked up and reclaimed

• In co-op, when any player chooses “sleep until next day,” a message is posted in chat

• If a bed is assigned to a co-op player, their ID is shown at the corresponding spot

• Room ID input: removed auto-paste behavior

• Improved overall scene lighting and significantly reduced overexposure

• Improved train controls and handling (smoother acceleration/deceleration and overall responsiveness)

🌟 Co-op Skill-Point Sharing from Donations — Recap

Many players told us co-op is a lot of fun, but skill-point progression used to be confusing. So here’s a reminder that we’ve adjusted the rule:

• In co-op, whenever anyone makes a donation, the host receives 100% of the skill points;

• Every other member receives 50%.

This way, everyone progresses. We know this isn’t a perfect solution yet—we’re still exploring better team distribution. Come discuss your ideas with us in the community!

• Removed the restriction that only the host can donate Entomorbs.

• Fixed an issue where 1★ Treants failed to spawn in certain forest camps.

• Slime Bracelet: increased Dash speed; optimized dash animation duration and facing.

• Simple Fryer buffed above the Kitchen Workstation; fixed missing stats for Grilled Fish, Rainbow Fruit Cup, and other dishes. (Thanks to ういんど for the feedback and suggestions!)

• Localization: corrected Survival Academy and Fishing Magazine effect descriptions; improved the Japanese description and spelling for Green Slime. (Thanks to ういんど for the help!)

• Attempted fix for a case where dropped items in co-op could be duplicated. (Thanks to chcdjcdez&m013 for the thorough repro video.)

• Fixed a case where sleeping in Marvin’s RV → going to the map edge → respawning could lose progress. (Thanks to 乐正Noa for promptly providing video and clues right after the Demo went live.)

• Fixed an issue where, after placing furniture indoors and re-entering, the Hammer could not edit. (Thanks to 近ガン for the report.)

• ういんど: Found a bug where handcrafted chairs could restore satiety—now fixed. Plus many other helpful notes above!

  • Switching items with the scroll wheel while feeding pets could cause item loss;

Wonderia is an open-world game that blends survival-sandbox adventure, micro-scale interstellar storytelling, and co-op play.

Explore a vast world; farm, build, fight, cook, and adventure online—or just space out by a fountain and study the wreckage left by those who came before.

• World structure: a large, seamless map combining procedural generation with handcrafted content

✨ v0.4 Demo Highlights

🌍 World Structure Upgrade: A Seamless Open World

We’ve moved away from layered maps to a dynamically streaming, continuous world. In practice, that means:

• No more vertical “layers”: traverse distinct biomes in one continuous space—no need to “go underground.”

• The world streams in as you approach: faster loads, better performance, and room to scale in the future.

• Co-op is fully adapted for the big seamless map—explore side by side.

• Each world is unique (seed-based), with many handcrafted discoveries and clues woven in.

🤝 Progress Together in Co-op

When players donate items to earn skill points, everyone online gets rewards:

• Host: 100% (the museum display slots belong to the host)

• Other players: 50% (you still gain) This is an interim approach—we’ll keep improving the skillbook system. Join our Discord to share ideas.

  

🔧 Systems & UX Improvements

• Food: smoother pacing When Food drops below 50%, Max HP now decreases slowly—clearer warning and flow.

• Big storage quality-of-life boosts: Workbenches can pull from diagonally adjacent chests; a single chest can now supply up to 8 workbenches (up from 4). Chest capacity was raised to 40 slots—easier inventory management.

• Food effects differentiated: Early foods grant clearer buffs (e.g., higher max satiation, more defense). Crops now take slightly longer to grow for balance.

• Merchant Rohen buys gear & outfits: Sell surplus equipment and clothing for a cleaner pack. We’ll expand buyback categories later (currently in testing).

• Take home small decorations with ease: Shade flowers, riverside grasses, and other ambience bits can be dug up with a shovel—no more pickaxe-highlight fuss, same freedom to redecorate.

• Minimap background transparency: Unexplored areas no longer fill with solid color—map reading feels better.

• Interaction highlight update: From white outlines to a ground selection frame—aiming and judging are more intuitive.

• Creatures & the hero feel livelier: Blackbirds and the Great Serpent have more ambient behaviors. Fixed dim lighting while carrying a lantern. New idle animations for the player—dozing off, reading, pondering. Big-eyed yellow flowers can be punched bare-handed to trigger a “bounce”—use it to speed up or to aid counters in combat.

  

📓 More Little Stories in the World

• A makeshift camp from the STB-03 pilot now appears near cave edges—possibly pointing toward a new temple.

• Several insectoid ruins now grant one-time rewards: attune to the message to gain rare recipes or items.

We started by making a “multiplayer open-world sandbox,” and somehow stumbled into a seamless world, layered exploration narrative, and co-op play—slowly and clumsily inching toward a kind of “realistic fantasy.” Our question is:

Waking on a strange planet, what would make you stay?

The first golden stalk of rice in the field?

Your very first raspberry cake?

An inscription you can almost understand?

A friend saying, “Teleport to me—now!”

Or that moment when night falls on your return, and NPCs step out of warmly lit homes…

We don’t know the answer yet, but we’d love to search for it with you.

For this update, we focused on one thing: Making the world’s background information easier to stumble upon, without interrupting your play.

Instead of long cutscenes or forced exposition, we tried to hide fragments of the past along naturalexploration paths—abandoned insectoid ruins, a missing pilot, missions that never got finished... We’re still figuring out how to enrich the world without getting in your way, but we hope things start to feel a little more alive as you explore. 🌱

• 🧑🚀 Reworked the STB-07 departure ship scene, with added visual and narrative details

• 🚀 Added a new point of interest: the STB-03 crash site

• 🌲 Rebuilt the Insectoid Civilization Ruins in the forest biome, with clearer signs of its lost culture

• 🗿 Adjusted layout of many points of interest, to improve how exploration and combat flow into narrative hints

• 🏡 Updated main NPC dialogue with more backstory; most translations completed with help from our localization team

• 🍳 Hunger system: Hunger no longer slows you down—it now reduces your maximum health. The risk remains, but pacing feels smoother.

• ⛏️ Loot balance: Item drops have been tuned to feel more generous without turning into a grind.

• 🌱 Farming changes: Crops now grow more slowly, and merchants can now buy excess seeds, helping with mid-game food overflow.

• 👌 UI improvements: The “drop item into world” button has been moved to the backpack screen for easier access. It’s now simpler to hand items to friends in co-op.

• 💬 Community-inspired tweaks:

  • Added more fixed teleport points to reduce unnecessary travel

  • Craftable gear like Grass Armor and Blackbird gear can now be recycled

  • Lots of minor optimizations and bug fixes!

• The game now supports 11 languages. All content was originally written by our team; except for Thai, all translations were done by our professional localization partners.

• Due to some last-minute script changes, you may still encounter machine-translated lines—we’re working to patch those quickly.

• We’ve also added a Thai language option. We saw a lot of love from Thai players in earlier Playtests (thank you!), but we must be honest: the current Thai version is fully machine-translated.
