Just Cause 3 is an open world action game that fully leans into chaos, explosions, and over the top sandbox fun. At its best, it’s one of the most entertaining “blow everything up” experiences out there, giving you complete freedom to approach destruction in creative ways. Visually, the game still holds up really well especially on PC. The island of Medici is vibrant and detailed, with great lighting, weather effects, and a sense of scale that makes just flying around enjoyable on its own. The wingsuit and grappling hook are easily the highlights of the gameplay. Movement feels smooth and satisfying, and chaining together stunts while soaring across the map never really gets old. A lot of the fun comes from just experimenting and causing as much destruction as possible rather than focusing purely on missions. That said, the game definitely has its flaws. NPCs are a weak point many of them sound nearly identical, especially during combat, which makes interactions feel repetitive and takes away from immersion. Mission design is another common issue. While the core mechanics are fun, a lot of missions feel like filler, often reusing the same objectives like liberating bases or destroying specific targets. Over time, this repetition can make the overall experience feel a bit stale. Driving is probably the biggest downside. Compared to how smooth everything else feels, vehicle handling is clunky and awkward. Cars don’t feel particularly responsive, and missions that rely heavily on driving can become frustrating, especially when the physics don’t quite cooperate. It’s a noticeable step down from the otherwise fluid traversal systems. Performance can also be hit or miss depending on the setup. Even on capable systems, some players have experienced frame drops during large explosions or intense moments, which is ironic given how central chaos is to the game. The freedom, movement mechanics, and sheer scale of destruction carry the experience, even if the mission design and some technical aspects hold it back.

just. yes. i'd buy it on its non-sale price. but on sale? its £2 for gods sake. for about 60 hours of fun (for me at least)
