Quite possibly one of my favorite games, top 3.
I'll start by saying that the difficulty feels steep early on but it's not one of those "rage" games that you might associate with the climbing genre. Yes it's fair, but rarely forgiving.

The best part is the movement because the way you can manipulate your momentum is quite satisfying. Can feel a bit unrealistic once you get better at it though.. Generally, the gameplay mechanics are novel compared to other games I've played before and it really isn't for everyone; it didn't appeal to most of my friends and I only managed to convince one to get it (since there's a coop mod)

I love the artstyle direction despite how simple the graphics are. Authentic to the time period. Many small details you can miss

More importantly, someone considering this may wonder about replayability. The early levels do feel trivial once you complete the game and you'll realistically only replay the last 2 books. ||However|| when it comes to the DLC you will have fun replaying the entirety of it. It is significantly harder (and prettier) compared to the base game though, but you may be the type of player that enjoys the challenge. There are also custom maps you can create/download from the steam workshop, but I recommend that after you finished the game to avoid potential spoilers.

On that note, dear developer, please fix the "ice" tag on custom objects so that I can finally release the map I've been working on.
