By far this is still the game with the most content with replay value, best story, and best ranking system thats actually difficult and requires mastering. There's a reason this was the best selling third party game on Gamecube and still has a fan following today. If its not the favorite for you, then its most likely in top 5 for sure. And we still have not seen the Choa Gardens return in a recent game. I would love to see the hero and dark gardens be expanded upon a lot bigger because theres no longer any need to be as small as they are.

My first sonic games were Sonic & knuckles, sonic unleashed and generations on the xbox 360. Playing this game personally was rough but not for the right reason. I adore the sonic and shadow stages But I absolutely hated the Knuckles & rouge treasure hunting stages. They are pure RNG. Theres no way to reasonably replay the stages to get em as fast as possible when they’re randomized.
